LEC belongs to the Winter Tournament Association in Louisville and starting in the Winter of 2009 we will be hosting all of the upcoming Tournaments.
Winter Tournaments are held each month from October to April so that riders can keep riding and showing even though the regular show season is over. These are a perfect starting place for riders to do their first show. Tournaments are typically more informal and less expensive than regular shows so everyone can do it! All riders are welcome to participate as tournaments have classes for all ages and levels of riders from 6 & under Leadline classes to Adult Equitation classes. Instructors coach from the rail as riders show in 2-3 classes and everyone gets lots of ribbons! Winter Tournaments often feature fun classes like Bareback classes as well. Spend a day at the barn riding and cheering your friends on as they ride with each other and with other local barns.
Clothing Requirements: Tournaments are also less rigid in terms of clothing requirements. Riders are not required to wear Academy attire or a suit as they would be at a traditional show. Instead they can wear a simple white turtle-neck with an LEC fleece vest (available to purchase in the barn office) and Kentucky Jodhpurs.
