Girl Scouts

LEC is Girl Scout certified. We love having Girl Scout troops out to work on their Horsemanship Badges. Girl Scouts typically spend a few hours at the barn first learning how to work with a horse on the ground, practicing skills such as safety, leading, grooming, bridling, and saddling; then they will get to put their skills to the test and saddle up for a riding lesson during which they will learn proper mounted horsemanship.

LEC is not limited to “horsey” functions. We have conference rooms and outdoor space available to rent that can be used for meetings and other types of programs

For more information or to set up an appointment for your troop call 502.267.0881 or email us at LouisvilleEquestrianCenter@gmail.com. Rates for 2 hours at the barn (1 hour on the ground and 1 hour riding) vary depending on the number of Girl Scouts participating but generally fall between $30 and $40 per Scout.
